Dr. Lillis: Who Needs SCOTUS

Day Three: Linda, Eric & Ted---> 3 Great Reasons to Protect the ACA
This morning at the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court, three Virginians helped by Medicaid addressed a crowd on the need to protect the Medicaid expansion in the Affordable Care Act. Today’s hearing on the Affordable Care Act marks the last of three days of oral arguments on the law’s constitutionality and focused on the expansion of Medicaid enrollment funded.
A school teacher, two state lawmakers, families with relatives who depend on Medicaid and a physician leader all spoke out about the many ways they and people who rely on them are helped by the law.

Day Two: Health Care is Not Broccoli
When you think of our broken health insurance system, do you think of broccoli? No?
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, and those who are trying to block the the Affordable Care Act, want you to believe that buying broccoli and needing health care are one in the same. Broccoli has been brought up in arguments by opponents of the health care law to make the point that if the government can require you to purchase health insurance, they can ask you to buy anything, even broccoli.
Day One of the Supreme Court Hearings: What's at Stake
Today the United States Supreme Court began hearing arguments on the challenges to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in what is being called one of the most important cases in the history of the court. Over the next three days the Supreme Court will hear an unprecedented six hours of arguments that could impact the future of health care in our country forever.

The Affordable Care in Virginia: Get the Facts
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the new health care law that provides benefits like consumer protections against insurance companies, free cancer screenings to seniors in Medicare and tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage for their employees.
